The farmhouse, a two-story cape cod, shelters two bedrooms under its eaves. The bedrooms sleep six (four adults and two children, for instance), and the good mattresses, sheets and pillows make sleeping a pleasure. The master bedroom is separated from the secondary bedroom by a doorway, and each of these rooms is a loft which looks down on the living room.
A living room with a cathedral ceiling is dominated by a cozy fire in the fire place at night, and a view of the pond, meadows, trees and woods during the day. While the farmhouse is comfortably heated, firewood is also provided to take the chill off, during the season, or to build a bonfire under the summer stars.
The renovated kitchen - the center of the home - is fully stocked with china, cookware and utensils, linens, basic appliances, and staples such as soap, cooking oil and spices. The kitchen table, perfect for a family meal, can seat up to ten.
The renovated bathroom provides both a tub and shower, as well as a selection of towels and paper goods. The sink rests on a wall-length counter, in front of a very large mirror.
